Wet Food vs. Dry Food
There are plenty of dog food options at the pet store to choose from, but which ones are the best?
Every dog is different, so their food preferences won’t all be the same.
Both dry and wet food options have their benefits. You have to read the ingredients to figure out what’ll work best for your dog. Essentially the big difference between the two is the water content.
Dry food: These small pellets are packed with energy and can be given in small amounts. That means you can buy large quantities of their type of food that will last you a very long time.
It’s also virtually mess-free, so you won’t have much to clean up after your dog.
Wet Food: This option has many benefits to your dog. It’s easier to chew, tastes better, and has a lot of water. This hydrates them, as opposed to making them even thirstier like dry food.
Overweight dogs would benefit more from wet food because they can eat more of it without eating too many calories.
If you’re thinking about mixing the two, it’s not recommended. Focus on finding high-quality products with good ingredients.
